Turn upwards. Remember your smallness in the presence of the night sky.
At this hour, I call out to you, Jehovah Shammah.
God of all power, Ruler of the Universe
Canadian Eucharistic Prayer-
you are worthy of glory and praise.
Glory to you for ever and ever.
At your command all things came to be:
the vast expanse of interstellar space,
galaxies, suns, the planets in their courses,
and this fragile earth, our island home.
By your will they were created and have their being.

Choose five attributes of God to ponder today. Settle on the one that sparks your imagination most and linger with it. Ask questions about it — when? where? why? how? what? who?
In July 1969, the Pope greeted news of the lunar landing by exclaiming: “Glory to God in the highest and peace on earth to men of good will!” In an unscheduled speech from his summer residence the Pope said “We, humble representatives of that Christ, who, coming among us from the abyss of divinity, has made to resound in the heavens this blessed voice, today we make an echo, repeating it in a celebration on the part of the whole terrestrial globe, with no more unsurpassable bounds of human existence, but openness to the expanse of endless space and a new destiny.”
O! My soul roams among the stars this day, searching the abyss of divinity from which I came.
O! My soul roams among the stars this day, searching the abyss of divinity.
O! My soul roams among the stars this day, searching the abyss.
O! My soul roams among the stars this day, searching.
O! My soul roams among the stars this day.
O! My soul roams among the stars.
O! My soul roams.
O! My soul.
O!
Compassionate God,
as you knoweach star you
have created,
so you knowthe secrets
of every heart;
in your loving mercybring to your table
all who arefearful and broken,
all who arewounded and needy,
that our hungersmay be satisfied
in the cityof your peace;
through Christwho is our peace.
Common Worship Daily Prayer-
The heavens keep telling the wonders of God, and the skies declare what he has done. Each day informs the following day; each night announces to the next.
